Pneumo-Mechanical Simulation of a 2 Dof Planar Manipulator

چکیده

The use of pneumatic technology in parallel kinematics structures allows to develop new solutions to be proposed in industrial field. Pneumatics is a low expensive technology and very suitable for those applications where a low cost and an easy to operate automation are required. The paper investigates the opportunity to use such a system for “pick and place” like operations analyzing the dynamic behavior of a 2 dof manipulator actuated by pneumatic cylinders. Dynamic simulations are performed to highlights the performance and the limitations of this technology .
